Find Your True Blue Friend at
SEAACA
Downey, CA The Southeast Area
Animal Control Authority (SEAACA) is launching a new pet project
aimed at finding homes for the shelter's dogs and cats least
likely to be adopted. The project, dubbed "True Blue Friend,"
promotes the virtues of SEAACA's good-natured and healthy — yet
overlooked — homeless pets.
"True Blue Friend is dedicated
to the proposition that no cat or dog should be unwanted," according
to True Blue Friend creator Holland VanDieren. "Our theme 'Your True
Blue Friend is Waiting' motivates would-be adopters to pause and get
to know these wonderful, deserving pets who've been ignored."
True Blue Friends, selected by
SEAACA's shelter staff, are given blue collars and cage signs to let
everyone know "Maybe I'm not so special on the outside, but I'm
totally adorable on the inside." They've already demonstrated
that beneath a shy or silly, dainty or humongous, senior or junior,
homely or just plain wrapper, there beats the heart of a True Blue
Friend.
"We're hopeful that True Blue
Friend signs on our trucks, True Blue Friend shirts on our staff and
displays placed around our 12-city region spark interest," says
SEAACA Director Dan Morrison, "and open loving, lifelong homes for
many True Blue Friends."
Included in every True Blue
Friend's adoption fee is spay or neuter, vaccinations, health check,
permanent microchip ID, an original "I Found My True Blue Friend"
T-shirt and, of course, a lifetime of love.
SEAACA has True Blue Friends
ready for adoption now, with new ones added everyday. If you're a
cat- or dog-person, don't keep your True Blue Friend waiting! Visit
