Shortest Mix Breed Dog Needs Home

Downey, CA… It’s hard not to chuckle when you meet her for the first time, but “Ginger” a one year-old Pit Bull / Doxie Mix female dog, is quite possibly the shortest dog SEAACA has seen in a very long time. Ginger has a beautiful brown (short hair) coat, weighs in at 39 pounds, has a lovely disposition but sports only 5 ½” legs. “She absolutely loves to be around people and she’s quite comfortable in her stout, but unusually short, frame said Aaron Reyes, director of operation at SEAACA. “It appears that mom and dad were a pit bull and possibly a dachshund,” Reyes stated. Ginger is available for adoption on Thursday, 12/28/06 at 11am at SEAACA, the Southeast Area Animal Control Authority in Downey. The impound fees are $100 which include her spay surgery, vaccinations and a microchip. Her impound number is 07-12737 and her Pen# is 203. Ginger was picked up running stray in the city of South Gate one week ago.

SEAACA is located at 9777 Seaaca St. in Downey; cross streets are Imperial Hwy. and Woodruff Ave. Please visit SEAACA online at www.seaaca.org or at 562.803.3301.
